  1. No, you’re not over-reacting. It’s a deceptive practice and dilutional to the spirit of blogging. Just as spam has devalued email as a form of communication, I fear “faux” medlogs might possibly reduce the value of google searches for medical information.

  2. Actually, I think you’re onto what is probably a disturbing trend. I’m running into a lot of “fake blogs” over the last few weeks, including one peddling “celebrex-lawsuit info” and one soliciting donations to help “the pro-democracy movement in Ukraine.”

    I wouldn’t be surprised if a new crop of bogus “Asia Tsunami” emergency relief blogs turn up this week …
